This place can be safely called the French treasure of Bourne, tucked away a step away from the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Mar and the most popular streets. Everything is fine in El Casal - a cozy and absolutely not pretentious interior, friendly service, optimally priced and amazing quality set menu del dia for 12,50 € and, of course, oysters.
Beauty is, that this bistro owned by two brothers from Normandy, whose father is the owner of an oyster farm. In the bistro a few views of Normandy oysters at a very nice price, eg, there is a combo of a bottle of French wine and a dozen succulent shellfish for 35 €.
Bistro works with 8 in the morning, so early birds can pop in here for coffee with an omelet or croissant. Usually open on weekdays 8 a.m. to 16-00. Open for dinner only on Fridays and Saturdays.
